Genee Scope, a new digital microscope with a unique detachable head, is ideal for teachers and students, in the classroom or in the field. It has a USB connection, so you can magnify, capture, or modify images or video. This is a solid, well-built piece of equipment that simply plugs in the USB port. There is a top (LED) light powered by the USB, & a bottom light for slides etc. powered by AA batteries. The focus control is easy & accurate to use, with 3 useful magnification levels (20x, 40x & 100x). The software is straightforward to install & very user-friendly, allowing you to capture & edit still or moving images (including time lapse). annotation tools for highlighting & labeling, a comparison tool for layering 2 images over each other, & a measuring tool for accurate measurement of subject matter. Because this is a digital image, you can link into your IWB etc. just as we do with the visualiser. The microscope barrel can be removed from the stand & used as a hand-held device (useful for field studies when linked to a portable laptop or netbook).

Genee Vision Micro

This Digital Microscope enables all users to make any lesson or investigation truly interactive. With full functionality of a microscope the Digital Microscope also has a digital camera attached which allows image capture of all slides and video recording of the resources being shown. The microscope can be connected to any PC, Laptop, Interactive Whiteboard or projection device to allow everyone in the class or lecture to view the slides together and on a much larger scale. The ability to save and capture images of the slides to a PC or server opens up a huge possibility for discussions as captured images can be used in future lessons/lectures and can be open on an interactive whiteboard enabling full integration with other software and annotation.
